GIRBAU inaugurates a new subsidiary in China

The new branch is operating with its prime objective being to establish and consolidate a commercial network in China.
Up until now Girbau’s commercial operations have been conducted through a Hong Kong distributor.

Conscious of both the rising potential and the current possibilities in the Chinese market, Girbau had no doubts about strengthening its commercial network in the country by opening its own offices in Hong Kong and Shenzen.

The prime objective of Girbau China’s director, Sammy Tung, is to consolidate a commercial network within the country from Shenzen and enjoy the benefits of commercial transactions through the offices established in Hong Kong.

During his visit to the new offices, the chairman of Girbau Group, Pere Girbau, stated “the strategic importance of having a presence in the Chinese market is not only for its immense growth potential, but also a will on Girbau’s part to improve the service we offer to our clients in the country through the proximity that a subsidiary will provide”.

The opening of the subsidiary in China is part of Girbau’s internationalisation strategy. China joins the rest of Girbau’s subsidiaries around the world: Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, United Arab Emirates, United States, France, Germany and Great Britain.

“At Girbau we have integrated globalisation into our future strategy, not only as a way to expand markets, but as a way to work. We want, in each country, to be seen as a local enterprise and not as a division of a foreign company. For this reason, a team of employees native to each particular country, work in all our subsidiaries”, adds the Group’s Chairman.
Girbau’s Management visits subsidiaries and distributors around the world
Girbau’s management, in addition to officially inaugurating the subsidiary in China, journeyed to different points around the world, to make contact with Girbau’s subsidiaries and distributors. Amongst others they visited México (Centrax), Japan (Wassalon), Singapore (Sutlick Trading Co), Australia (Advance Comm. Laundry Equipment), Cuba (Girbau Cuba) and the United States, where the board of Girbau’s American subsidiary, Continental Girbau Inc., presided over the event.

Girbau’s management was seen to be satisfied with the quality both professional and personal of Girbau’s human resources team around the world.
