“We have demonstrated to the visitors that we are one of the few manufacturers worldwide to have such a comprehensive range of products enabling us to equip laundries of any size and for any segment of the market”, says Merce Girbau, Chief Executive Officer of the Girbau Group.
By organizing the Girbau stand into market segments and not by product range, visitors were able to see the complete solution offered by Girbau for every corner of the market. This meant that solutions for hotels, hospitals, industrial laundries, coin-op laundries and care homes could be seen at the stand.
“We have demonstrated at Texcare that we have found our niche in the market in terms of industrial laundry systems. We cover a market segment not covered by manufacturers specializing in heavy duty installations, as was shown by the deal reached with the German laundry Lehleiter, which processes between 15 and 20 tonnes of linen daily. We are making firm inroads into markets as mature in heavy duty installations as the German market. This is the best indicator that our strategy based on personalised dealings and on adapting to the clients’ needs is the correct one ”, added Mercè Girbau.
Another of the prominent features at the trade fair stand in Frankfurt was the attention paid to those visitors from Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In spite of the fact that Texcare is an international trade fair, many of the visitors were from this geographical area given its proximity. In view of this, Girbau set up a desk specifically aimed at each of these countries, attended by the relevant business teams.
THE MANUFACTURER OF LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT SHOWED ITS CAPACITY TO EQUIP LAUNDRIES OF ANY TYPE AND SIZE.
INTRODUCTION OF NEW PRODUCTS: WASHING MACHINES, FLATWORK IRONERS AND FOLDERS
The new high capacity washer models which complete 6 Series were introduced within the framework of the trade fair. By doing so, Girbau showed that it offers its clients the best wash technology from an 9kg capacity to 122kg.
In the ironer division, the new PSN-80 gas flatwork ironer was introduced, which allows the benefits of the accepted productivity and ironing quality of the Girbau flatwork- ironers to be enjoyed, together with the advantages of gas and a boiler performance of up to 90%.
The new Orion Plus folder was also introduced with new performance qualities which improve the positions and the fold quality.
INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION 2008 IN FRANKFURT
The Girbau International Conventions 2008 was held at the NH Frankfurt Hotel the day before the trade fair inauguration (30 May) and was attended by more than a hundred people amongst whom were branch representatives and distributors from all corners of the world.
The Girbau Group CEOs, Mercè Girbau and Pere Girbau Pous, presented the Girbau’s strategic guidelines for the next three years, founded on three corner stones; Quality, Client-focus and Team Work.
Girbau team representatives from Cuba, United Arab Emirates, USA, India and the United Kingdom commented on their own experiences with Girbau, highlighting the high quality of the products, the group solidity and the values that the Girbau family have knowingly transferred to the company.
The convention was concluded with a tribute being paid to Alfons Reixach, who up until last March had been the group Sales Manager.
The group President, Pere Girbau, thanked Reixach for his collaboration with Girbau and said “he has been the best fellow traveller and the best Commercial Director I have had on this long managerial path spanning 40 years”.
PARTICIPATION IN HÔPITAL EXPO (PARIS) AND THE ALGERIAN INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR
On the other hand Girbau also took part in the Hôpital Expo trade fair (27-30 May) in Paris for the hospital segment.
The Girbau France commercial team and Jean Michel presented the new gas PSN-80 to the visitors as well as the sector’s sanitary barrier equipment.
A Varistar folder could also be seen in operation at the stand.
In addition Girbau was present in the Spanish pavilion at the Algerian International trade fair (7-13 June), showing the visitors its wide range of equipment.
