The outcome of Hostelco 2008 has been a positive one for Girbau, confirmed by the Group Head Office Mercè Girbau: “Generally speaking the evaluation has been encouraging . Although quantatively the number of visitors to the trade fair has fallen slightly, qualitatively we have initiated and also firmly agreed upon some very attractive projects ”.
Regarding the origin of the visitors, according to Mercè Girbau “the majority were from Spain but we were also visited by clients from countries such as Morocco, France, The United Arab Emirates, Cuba, Venezuela and Panama, to mention but a few”.
The visitors expressed their interest in the company’s latest laundry equipment designed for energy-saving and profitability and also Girbau recently launched “Plan Renove”.
This was the first time the complete range of 6 Series washers had been seen in Spain (from 9kg to 122kg). For the very first time visitors to Hostelco were able to see Girbau’s large capacity, new look, Series 6 washers, incorporating the new quick and easy to use Inteli controls for improved performance and programming options.
Of particular interest to premises with a large output were the Galaxy feeder and the new Orion Plus folder, the new ironing system products, seen in operation, and also the PSN-80 flatwork ironer, gas version, offering an improved performance and reduced energy consumption.
Also to be seen on the stand was the complete batch washer system (TBS-50 tunnel, the SPR-50 ironer and the ST-100 dryer). This caught the attention through its various modules and ability to adapt to the specific laundry needs of each individual client.
Many visitors were interested to learn more about the conditions and significant benefits available through Girbau “Plan Renove” , valid until the 30th of November. Lastly, many visitors left their details in a box in the stand to participate in the draw for a week holiday for two people in Dubai.
Girbau Convention at the Hotel Hesperia Tower in Barcelona
On the 16th October, the day before the Hostelco trade fair was due to open, Girbau held a sales convention at the Hotel Hesperia Tower attended by representatives from Girbau’s management team and the entire Spanish sales network.At the convention, Girbau’s management team expressed their opinion that Girbau products have gained great importance in the current economic situation, taking into account they have been designed for savings and profitability for the client.
During the convention, General Managers for the Group, Mercè Girbau and Pere Girbau Pous, introduced the new management team and were convinced that Girbau extensive range of products, together with the reliability and experience of the group’s technical sales team, were advantages which, competition wise, would augur well for some excellent future perspectives.
