Girbau has reached a new milestone in its journey as a responsible industrial leader: the company has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing it among the top 4% of companies worldwide and making it the only manufacturer in the textile-care industrial machinery sector to receive this distinction.
A step forward toward our purpose
This achievement represents a significant leap from the Bronze Medal obtained the previous year and reinforces Girbau’s commitment to integrating sustainability across its entire value chain. The EcoVadis assessment—considered an international ESG benchmark—evaluates performance across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The results position Girbau as a strategic partner for organizations seeking efficiency, innovation, and corporate responsibility.

The company is driving advanced technologies for water reuse and treatment, zero-waste production processes, and durable, low-emission equipment. With the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, Girbau has already reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 35% since 2021, marking solid progress in its decarbonization journey.
