Girbau has taken a decisive step in its North American growth strategy with the launch of its new production facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The inauguration—held this week in a spirit of shared celebration—coincided with the company’s 105th anniversary, underscoring a dual milestone that highlights its long-standing commitment to innovation, customer proximity, and sustainable development.
The opening ceremony, held on October 29, brought together representatives from Wisconsin and Oshkosh local authorities, officials from ACCIÓ —the Business Competitiveness Agency of the Government of Catalonia— and teams from Girbau and Continental. The event featured guided tours of the new facility, institutional remarks, and the traditional ribbon-cutting, positioning this plant as a model of international collaboration, local economic development, and a strong commitment to a more efficient and sustainable industry.
Throughout the week, Girbau also celebrated its 105th anniversary together with the Continental team and members of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee who traveled from Spain. The gathering honored more than a century of innovation, commitment, and family spirit—values that continue to define the company’s corporate identity.
The new plant, with an initial production capacity of 3,000 machines per year, has been designed to meet the specific needs of the U.S. market. Its output is fully dedicated to serving the local market, reinforcing Girbau’s proximity strategy while improving operational efficiency, speeding up delivery times, and reducing the logistics footprint.
