Launch of 'Aula Digital Girbau', the innovation space born from the new agreement between Girbau and the city council of Vic

Girbau signs an agreement with the city council of Vic with the aim of creating the "Aula Digital Girbau". The Girbau Digital Classroom is conceived as a space for innovation to foster scientific and technological vocations (STEM), as well as digital skills, sustainability or hands-on learning among secondary and post-compulsory education students of the La Farinera robotics classroom at the Centre d'Arts Visuals de Vic (Barcelona).

This collaboration once again demonstrates Girbau's commitment to bringing industry closer to society and encouraging scientific and technological careers. In addition, the signing of this agreement represents a technological breakthrough for the La Farinera robotics classroom, which has received new digital and robotics resources, including a 3D printer and a laser cutter.

Moreover, there will be activities based on programming and design challenges or related to Girbau's fields of interest, such as sustainability, digitalization and people. This will allow students to carry out innovative, practical projects such as, for example, programming a laundry distribution robot. Teachers will be trained to provide these activities in a guided manner and adapt them to the needs of the students.

In the words of Mercè Girbau, president and CEO of Girbau, with the signing of this agreement, the company shows its commitment to the city. It also highlights the need to create synergies between the industrial sector and young people, who will be the future workforce and will need these kinds of technological skills regularly.
